I’m sure it’s due to his size, but great pick up for
The Brook.

Name some FCS with NIL deals?  We can’t fill half the stadium right now, NIL deals for us is a pipe dream.  Let’s take local talent build a fan base, and  relationships. Now we are winning games our name is out there, we can go get those goood out of state kids.  Eventually we  will grow and maybe  that move to FBS becomes a reality.

Back to the issue of developing, old regime had a win now mentality, they recruited heavily in California and those big football states to get their average players instead on taking local talent develop them and secure a home town fan base. Guarantee if half the team was from the NYC/LI area that stadium would have people in it even during a losing season.

They also need to get the faculty and students more involve. That place has tremendous potential.

Better question is can we name
Some FCS schools that have NIL deals, would like to see how we stack up with funding compare to other liked programs.

A lot of what’s missing today in football is coaching. Everyone depends on talent to win. If he can get his staff to coach these kids up build their confidence and toughness we can be competitive and win games. Not everyone is a 5star recruit who can play right now. In the old days you could’ve been 6’6 330 played football one year in high school  and get a full ride.  The saying use to be you can’t teach size, but you can teach football.

Let’s see if he brings that teaching mentally and help build this program.

However if he is successful early and often I don’t see him staying here too long.

P.S. F’n Albany is playing in the semifinals

This is really bad, that’s all I’m going to say…

Could we be going down the same path as Hofstra????? They actually had a winning program and just killed their program a couple years after having multiple players sigh NFL contracts.

The lack of movement in the hire ups just signal something is up…

Wish we could discuss the game, and discuss  how [edited] the program AD and coaches are in a different thread…

I caught the game in the 2nd half, thought the defense played well for the most part in that second half. They made big plays then eventually give up a big play. I am really impress with the Dline play I said that last week as well.

I did notice Coach P didn’t have headsets on this game, and the offense seemed a little more open as far as the play calling, but the execution wasn’t there.

One thing I notice different about this team is that they continue to fight, unlike last year if they’re we’re down 1 score coming out at halftime they already packed it in and looked like they didn’t even want to play. This year  there’s some fight so that’s some improvement.

Just tuned in, not looking good.  Don’t think that was a fumble on that last touch down.

All you politicians need to start a new thread and take that somewhere else. I’m sure P doesn’t care or have a say with what goes on outside of football operations.  Let’s keep this strictly to the game and not politics. The players aren’t playing politics and I’m pretty sure the coaches aren’t either.

Oh and BTW 90% of colleges are all liberal, some schools have very strong football traditions that will never change and that has nothing to do with how they feel politically,  that’s my political 2 cents that I will never contribute to again on this forum.

Thought the defense played well to start. Was really impressed with the Dline play, but after numerous 3&outs they eventually got tired. They might want to consider rotating guys in and out earlier to keep everyone somewhat fresh. Still not a fan of the off coverage we are playing on the outside receivers, teams destroyed us with those long outside throws all year last year and Delaware continued to expose us. Please put in a man free defense as a change up, it’s painful to have 3 and long converted every time on an out route or hitch by the outside receiver.

The offense looked exactly the same as last year. Open up the offense.

Great crowd last night.

I agree the program has been on a decline the last couple of season, and yes it usually falls on the head coach, but have anyone considered the fact we haven’t been able to keep a coaching staff due to not paying them enough to establish a successful program.  I have seen plenty of coaches come and go some who are now in very big time places.

I plan on attending a couple practices and scrimmages to get a feel for this years team.

DDM..
I would say I am 99% correct in my statement.  I have played and coach on numerous levels of football. I am not going to argue this point any farther, Please let me know what games you will be watching this weekend, and I will also watch and you can tell me how many OL rotations you are seeing ( without injury).

14
Please stop with this OL rotation notion. This is one unit in Football were a rotation does not happen.  Substitutions happen only for injuries, and blow out wins. As you may know we do not have much depth if any with the OL. Please stop asking about an OL ROTATION!

Also I'm pretty sure if the trust was there for the guys that are the back ups, they would've played when we were up 3 scores on both central and unh. This isn't high school where u just through anyone in the game just because.

OLINE never rotates. UNLESS its a blow out and ur playing your second string team. I think we take this one convincingly today.
