I agree Steve I think  by the time conference season rolls around in January we could be running on all eight cylinders.   I do see some good wins in our non conference schedule if we gel early.

The  whole environment last night was electric. Our facilities are impressive  so never take them for granted , we had similar comments from the Villanova fans  a few weeks ago.

Box score shows  attendance at 12701 . I really doubt that number . The crows was good but not that good.

Need to win 3 of our last 4  games.   Maybe knockoff James Madison along the way .

With  that being said Chairman  here are the results from tonight =  Volleyball SBU 3- Hartford 0 , Ladies Soccer SBU 2  Hartford 1 in OT .  We sweep the Hawks as the ladies march on toward maybe two conference titles
Wasn't too long ago these programs struggled now new coaching staffs a little stronger athletes and hungrier I might add  get more wins.

That's the truth and he is still a sophomore .  This whole team is going to grow as the season goes on .  Two big tests early in George Washington and South Carolina .  Both teams are not unbeatable early on.

I think Shawn is deflecting .  If an FBS offer came along we would jump at it Im sure.  As posted earlier Coastal Carolina and Liberty are both FBS now so its not impossible to see SBU moving up . With over 26k in student enrollment, AAU member, almost all brand new athletic facilities and growing and 50 miles from NYC . The next 3 years will tell us for sure.  Remember also we are a Top 15 STEM School now which is huge  in academic circles.

And dont overlook both soccer teams  are  really doing well. All fall sports so far are in 1st place or battling for 1st  thats a marked improvement from a few years ago.

Interesting article.  Vermont fans are very content staying in the America East  anything more  would not work for them .  I understand where the Albany fans are coming from  they  want the same route to FBS and better conference affiliation  as we do.    Given our advancements in facilities and seeing the teams win I could us moving up  in under 5 years along with Albany and JMU .  Not sure where we will land  but it  could be exciting .  Vermont will never budge from the AE unless the conference folds.

IM anxious to see him play this season.     I think he only gets better as he and the other new guys adjust to D1 play.  As I said many times this is a young team and as they gain experience and hone their skills as a group they will improve immensely.
