What's a reasonable time frame to expect a new coach to be hired by?

3-5 years

Oops, thought you meant contract time. My bad.

Imagine going 0-10, making almost as much as the accomplished University President and retaining your job?  Lol.

Well, yeah.  Academics is the central objective of any Uni.  I think Stony Brook is the best academic school in them CAA, on par with or better than W&M.

My point was that Heilbron has simply failed by any standard.   SB is not better in any sport, since he became AD.  Why did Fiore succeeed where Heilbron failed?

Improving academically though.  Pretty much top 5 college or Uni in NY (not including West Point).  So there’s that.

Here is a telling question to measure Heilbron’s performance. Has any team or sport at SB improved during his tenure?  I can’t think of one.  How many have declined? BB, FB, baseball.

Wheatley is 26 and has never played in an NFL game.  He’s basically a fifth tackle on the Pats.  We’ll see if he develops.

I think SB’s baseball program is generally overrated because of the World Series appearance in 2012. Although they’ve done relatively well in the America East, doing well among mediocrity is only average at best.

Senk knows baseball, though.  Long time here but highly regarded in a lot of places.

SB is 7 games under .500 during the decade it has been in the CAA.  The only good seasons were 2017 and 2018.  Why has Priore been extended after several seasons of mediocrity culminating in a bad season?  Something is not right.  This stinks to high heaven.

If he extended Priore’s contract, I don’t know about Heilbron.

59-7?

Looks like the players quit.  Can’t say I blame them.

He done. New coach comin’ in 2023.  ;)

One terrible 1-6 team versus another terrible 1-6 team.

Beating Albany is necessary yes, but I shudder to think about what it would do for Coach P's job prospects.

Shudder no more!

$32 billion market cap = “socialist”  :-\

I don’t see any easy games coming up. There’s a decent chance this team goes winless, or at most goes 3-8.  That gets most coaches canned, doesn’t it?

I don’t think Stony Brook is really on anyone’s radar in Albany, let alone the Governor’s.

Maybe it really is time to leave the AE.

The Commish should resign after this debacle.
