Stony Brookís opponent for the semis of the America East tournament will be the winner of todayís UMBC at Hartford game.

Good riddance!
He couldnít win 1 big game at home.
He couldnít control his players with their ridiculous chucks beyond the 3-Point line.
None of his players improved.
Bye-bye!
Get a young, tough guy from the northeast, not some hillbilly from Ohio.

I knew this day would come one day. I just expected it to be for a program like Dayton, Xavier, Cinci, etc rather than Ohio. Does Boals really make half of what he'd make at Ohio?? I'd think we could afford to pay a little more than that for a coach. Especially given our goals as an athletic department. Boals is worth keeping around. Anyone calling for his head is crazy.

Give Boals what he wants. He's a keeper and letting him go for more money would be a huge blow to this BB team. Other people feel the same way.

The team had 3 big games at home in Vermont, Albany (rival), and the first round conference playoff game, which they lost all three and two of them if not all three were absolutely embarrassing!
I have no need for a coach of that team.

That same coach also led us to road wins over South Carolina, Rhode Island (who could win the A10), George Washington, Northern Iowa (without our best player btw), and 13 true road wins overall which is most in the country. I don't know about you, but I'm all in on trying to keep Boals. Our big weakness this year was ball movement.
George Washington (fired their coach) game meant nothing, plus they lost to Holy Cross, worst record in the Patriot Conference! Itís all about the conference playoffs and he failed miserably! Our biggest weakness was ball movement because the coach would rather be friends with his players than coach his players.

Most embarrassing loss by any Stony Brook team!

I guess this will tarnish our great victories versus Norfolk State and those impressive losses to Brown and Holy Cross.

This is what happens when a coach wants to be a friend of his players and not their coach.

If they lose tonight, Boals should be shown the door!

Two years later, the great Jacksonville lax program starts the 2019 season 0-4! 😂😂😂😂

Last year, it felt like the team was a little better than their record indicated, and was capable of beating any team in the conference (with a puncher's chance against Vermont).

This year, it seems like the team is not quite as good as their record indicates, and is capable of losing to any team in the conference (with a puncher's chance against Vermont).

That said it seems like the program is moving in the right direction, and I would not be surprised if the current Freshman class makes at least one trip to the NCAA tournament.
Some fans overreacted to wins against Norfolk State and losses to Holy Cross and Brown. 😂😂😂. Also, this fan base thinks we have depth on the team - that one gets me every time.

Itís amazing during their first game of the season, how much smarter and more prepared the womenís lax team is compared to the football and menís basketball teams!  Spallina works them hard, prepares them for actual game situations, and is not looking to be the best friend of his players.

ill take UVm in that game- id rather have them undefeated and primed for upset in the AE tournament.
Vermont lost to UMBC earlier in the season.
