Enjoy!

Stony Brook Men's soccer opens their conference season big with a 3-2 win over Vermont just now. Wonderful game at LaValle today. A good 300 in attendance tonight. Go Seawolves!!!
-
It was a good win against a good team. The Seawolves are 2-0 in AE play very good start!
-
The Seawolves come out tomorrow against Albany looking for their third win in the Conference. In the past six years Stony Brook has dominated Albany and holds a 4-0-2 record. If stony brook wins tomorrow, It will be their six win in seven games.
Go Brook!!! I'll be there at LaValle!!
-
I will be watching on GameTracker . Do you think our new soccer coach ia making a significant difference ? We lost to Pitt 1-0 and beat Temple and we are 2-0 in conference play.
-
Anatol seems like a great coach. I dont know much about the previous soccer coach to tell you the differences. I got into Stony Brook Soccer this year (with the exception of a couples of games last year).
Heading to LaValle now! GO BROOK!
If we win, this will be our first 3-0 conference start!
-
tied game after 2OT. No goals, 0-0
-
BROOK Wins. 3-0 against UMBC. We got that bye-week for us if we beat Hartford this sunday.
GO BROOK!!!
-
Nice win tonight. Dominated the Retrievers 3-0!
-
About a week old or so but Stony Brook men's soccer added two impressive transfers with Ryan Price and Shane Wixted. Price sounds like an especially great pickup as he was on the national freshman of year team in 2010.

Hearing news like this has me thinking that SBU sports have really turned the corner towards moving the next level up. For many years there's been sporadic good news here and there, but it seems like 2011 became a turning point where the program has started to put some space between itself and the rest of the AE/Big South pack. Long overdue considering the size of the university, but better late than never.
-
The investment is paying off for sure. Stony Brook wants to be on top and recognized nationally in academics and sports. The administration is putting a lot effort to become more competitive across all sports. recruits are noticing this and are looking at SBU. Eventually we need to move up to another conference, I hope that they do so soon.
Also, we need expansion in our Facilities (Stadium, Arena) if we want to mantain the perception that Stony Brook is on the rise.

Our future is bright gentlemen !

Stony Brook will host Connecticut in a Spring Exhibition Game, March 30th:

-
Just read that about Uconn coming here on 3/30. Might have to stop out there and watch.
-
Stony Brook defeats Connecticut 4-0 in yesterday's exhibition matchup at LaValle. I know its Exhibition, but still good to know to know we won.
-
I think this team is stacked. We return a ton from last years team, and brought in some impressive transfers. I think this team can make some noise.
-
Stony Brook men's soccer announced two more recruit, one of which is a transfer from South Florida. This will be fun team to follow in the fall.

Two nicw wins tonight. Men topped Fordham 2-1 , Ladies over Manhattan 1-0.
-

-
Chalk up another double header today. Both teams played very well!
-
Another win ! Looked at the AE standings last night both our soccer teams are in 1st place. Keep it going !
-
Seawolves must win tonight against UNH. They can't afford another loss in conference play. Go Seawolves!
-
Watching on Game Tracker now . 0-0 at the half.
-
Two late scores ! I got nervous thought it maight go into OT.
-
good victory tonight. We needed that win. This is a great team and I'm glad they got back in shape after back to back losses against Boston, UMBC
-
season schedule here: http://www.goseawolves.org/sports/m-soccer/sched/ston-m-soccer-sched.html
-
I meant to say Back to back home losses....
We got vermont and West VA left. We have to beat Vermont if we want a second seed in the tourney
-
Men's soccer losses a tough one at Burlington. I'm so dissapointed. 3rd seed in the tourney
-
What a wonderful game. I was able to make it despite the odds. Has to be one of the greatest comebacks in SBU soccer history. Down 2-4 with 20 mins to go. They came back in it for a 5-4 win
-
New Hampshire kicks top seeded Vermont out of the tourney with a 1-0 victory...
We are playing UMBC tonight so if we win we get the championship game at home against UNH

I just saw that Stony Brook has a commitment from Jorge Torres, the 75th ranked prospect in the country according to top drawer soccer. They also have a commitment from Brentwood native Jeffrey Medina, who was named Long Island player of the year and was selected to play in a high school All-American game. Good things are continuing to happen at Stony Brook

Our athletic department is building a profile of fielding championship teams across multiple sports. Add to that great facilities and good academics makes SBU a great choice. Our teams men and woment will only get better as we draw recruits such as these. So goodtimes are ahead for us in whatever sport you cheer for.
-
Torres a 4-star recruit. Excellent!
-
Add him to the list with Mr Warney in basketball we are moving forward and it is beginning to show results !
-
Amazing. Stony Brook is taking off!
-
Fernandez selected in the supplemental MLS Draft. He was a great player and its very well deserved. Greatest of luck to Leo!!!!

Seawolves Mens soccer dont even qualify for the AE tourney after a regular-season loss at ranked UMBC disqualifies them. Abo down year for sure. Hopefully they can bounce back next year.
-
I dont know what the problem was . I know they have trouble scoring and they seemed to have a good class. Not making the AE tourney is not a good thing.
