I read his bio on the website and I'm impressed. Oregon St, UCLA and SMU  is not too shabby.   Hopefully  the winds of change  are positive.

Sounds like a great move by Dr. Stanley. I'm excited. I was already getting worried why it took so long but I think we have found a good AD here!

This is a great hire- this is a power move as Shawn has an exceptional track record. SMU, UCLA, and OSU is an impressive athletic background- the last two stops in particular are massive places with gigantic budgets. Making a hire like this is pretty darn impressive- there's no AD in the America East that has these type of stops on their resume.

I gotta say, you don't get a guy with this type of background unless you're planning about being really aggressive about investing in the athletic department. This hire just reaffirms to me that Dr. Stanley is really interested in fortifying the athletic profile of the university. Heck, this move may set the backbones for a big conference move in 10-15 years.

IS that good or bad Seawolf97? I would say that's a good thing but I'm not sure about your point of view

I really like this move.

His resume is impressive, and he's got ties to the Big 12 and the Pac-12, which can only help us with potential non-conf scheduling and "western expansion of the brand".

I meant his entire background has  been  big time athletics  and bodes well  now that he is a Seawolf .  For the AE he is a big fish right now in a small pond, I'm very optimistic  about our athletic departments future..
