the brookland podcast sounds like the 2000 new seats are in the north end zone at LaValle.

also they said that there is a new structure going up to the left of the jumbotron, which purportedly is bathrooms (maybe concessions and merch?).  cant wait to see it.  GO SB

I live around the corner from the stadium and poked into the stadium last week. I must say, It looks great!!!! I waited 10 yrs for this to happen. One more thing they need to do. I know it will be expensive but, If you are sitting in the new section, you won't be able to see the video board. Now, I think they should take that old video board and put it on top of the dressing room house, south end zone, and install a new, bigger board where the current one sits.. Now that would be awesome!!! p.s. the concession and bathroom building are pretty big. Can't wait to see that finished too!~

Glad to see the new seats were added smoothly. I forgot about the additional bathrooms and merchandise/concession stand. I can't wait to check these all out at Homecoming! Just one step closer to getting our facilities FBS ready. Next step is the IPF. 10,000 sounds a lot better than 8,200.

Excellent! Excellent! Excellent!

So it's confirmed that we're moving forward with an IPF and will get one? I always thought it was just something we wanted but were at the mercy of the state as far as securing funds. This is excellent.

At 10k seats with an IPF, it's not a very large jump to FBS from there. The hurdles get shorter and shorter by the year.

A lot of the monies came through donations including over 100K from the lax alumni.

That is  only a year and a half from now. If this is true, and they really have this dome completed by that time frame. Then I think that would be record setting for SB to have anything built that quickly.

SH said the plans are done but he didnt say anything about permits and or variances to have this building constructed..I'll swallow an egg if this building is completed by the end of 2018. Brookhaven plans and variances dept are just as slow as NYS to get approvals to do anything..

my question is where exactly will this be situated!

there is a path that we all know that leads to the Bench.  Will it go south, north, or directly over?

i ask because the renditions ive seen (cant seem to find right now) show it going just north of LaValle.  https://www.google.com/maps/@40.9195748,-73.1238495,629m/data=!3m1!1e3

oh.  if that's the case, then its west of LaValle, meaning in between LaValle and the track.

That would put it right between the visitor stands and the track. It'd be a real tight fit from the looks of things, but the space should work. All it needs to be is a football field with a roof over top of it that shields it from the elements.

Exciting time to be a seawolf!!
