Seawolf97 got it right. It's standing capacity that makes it 12.3K. Actual capacity is 10.3. It's a much smaller jump to 15k from 12.3 than 10.3.

thanks.  still trying to assess where this will be situated exactly.  the old renderings showed it going over the path, just north of the stadium, which doesnt make sense.  then again, theyre just renderings.

this one makes it look due north of the path, just west of the tennis courts.  makes a lot more sense.  those are the old soccer fields from the pre-Lavalle days. https://www.google.com/maps/place/Kenneth+P.+LaValle+Stadium/@40.9205737,-73.1280402,895m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m5!3m4!1s0x89e838a984058935:0x6d48cfbb4f39d0a4!8m2!3d40.9188453!4d-73.1243079

running out of room over there!

Thatís exactly where it looks like going to be built. North of LaValle and south of the trees and Joe Nathan field. Right west of the tennis courts.

Isn't that where they do the wolfstock every year?

i could be wrong but i think wolfstock is west of lavalle, meaning, in between lavalle and the track.

it's turning into a first class athletic complex!

That was where Wolfstock was last year, but they'll still have the fields to the left and if they're ever really short on space they can put some of the activities like the moonbounces and stuff like that in the IPF (perhaps).

Great news- will be huge for all of our athletic programs to have that space on campus finally.

Two items I'm  putting out there for discussion .  Has anyone heard anything about the new IPF .  Supposedly ground breaking  was tp be  by the end of July which is rapidly approaching and no announcements yet. Secondly  SBU just completed a major fund raising effort to reach 600 million dollars by 630/2018.  I have  heard they made it at the last minute due to some generous  donors stepping up .  Thing is I see no public announcement  anywhere  if they did achieve their goal .  I would think they would broadcast this to the world as to the support they received.  Just an FYI  Villanova competed a 500 million dollar fund raiser at the same time  and it made big news in Philadelphia .
