CAA forum/board
« on: February 05, 2022, 01:10:36 pm »
It seems like America East forum (more like Vermont fan forum) at basketballforum.com has become a place to bash Stony Brook. It’s getting tiring.

Since we are moving to CAA soon, I wanted to provide links to CAA boards to visit and participate if anyone wants to.

Main/General CAA board at csnbbs:
https://csnbbs.com/forum-677.html
Currently includes a main CAA forum which is pretty active and sub-forums for each CAA team. Besides the main forum only W&M, Drexel, and UNCW sub-forums are active. Northeastern and Charleston fans also posts there often. Other fan bases have their own forum like us.

Hofstra fan forum:

Delaware fan forum:
https://www.gohens.net/boards/index.php

Drexel fan forum:
https://csnbbs.com/forum-681.html

Towson fan forum:
http://www.towsonfans.com

W&M fan forum:
https://csnbbs.com/forum-691.html

UNCW fan forum:
https://csnbbs.com/forum-686.html

Elon fan forum:
https://elonphans.proboards.com/

Charleston fan forum:
http://cofcfans.com/boards/index.php

Northeastern fan forum:
https://csnbbs.com/forum-687.html
https://www.dieharddogs.com/forums/ (viewable to paid users only)

NCAT fan forum:
https://bluedeathvalley.proboards.com/

Conference realignment board:
https://csnbbs.com/forum-637.html
Take everything here with fistful of salt! Full of speculations, wishes, rumors. Fun to read :)

FCS football fan forum:

Most of you are already familiar with this forum, but adding anyway I case someone is not aware.

Good links. The children over at Basketballforum shouldn't be taken seriously. They're all just jealous of our success. If they had an invite to the CAA, all of them would be on the way out too. Bunch of virtue signaling crap.

The Basketballfourm environment quickly became toxic.

I went back there just for a few days. But I had enough

I was on the BasketballForum AE board for years, before coming here, and I couldn't take the incessant bashing and rudeness.  While most people there were civil, there were a couple of UVM and UA posters (I'm sure you know who they are) who are just plain a**holes.  Even 1 SBU poster (to remain nameless, but I don't think he's on our board) was tough to take.

Very happy that I came to this board, and really appreciate how everyone gets along, even if our opinions differ.  That's what a message board is supposed to be like.

BTW, thanks for all the great links, IBO!
How old a Seawolf am I? I followed them during their Final 4 DIII hoops run in 1977-78 (they were called the Patriots then)

a resounding yes!

some people are just so insufferable when anonymous.  its just a game, it aint real life.

i love that we can be respectful here, not just of each other but also of our opponents.  so far from what ive seen on the CAA boards it will be much improved.  fingers crossed.
There are 29,413,039 corporations in America; but only one Chairman of the Board.

You are welcome! I hope the list is helpful. Mod can sticky/pin it if it’s useful. I will regularly update it.

I have stopped going to AE forum last few days due to the same issues you all have mentioned above. And I see no need to visit there again. This sbufan forum will remain the main board for me, but I will visit the CAA forum at csnbbs often to interact with others. Although one issue with csnbbs is registering; it takes 2-3 weeks for csnbbs to approve a user.

That's a good site. I've been lurking it for like 6 years but never made an account lol. Would just be another site to track. Maybe I'll get off my ass and finally do it.

The best user is David St. who predicts literally every tiny ass school in the western hemisphere to the FBS.

page 154 for a rendition of the new SEFCU arena, looks good: https://www.albany.edu/facilities/fp/documents/Featured_Projects_2021.pdf

Good for them. The new scoreboard from a few years ago feels out of place at the current moment, but with the renovations, it'll fit right in. While SBU needs one, they need to fire their HC more. Anyhow, it's a nice redesign on Albany's part. Hope it's completed in a relatively quick time frame and not held up by bullshit.

That looks pretty much just like ours, just without VIP seating.

In true Stony Brook spirit, I hope Albany suffers and that things go wrong for them with this.
