Brandon McNitt to the Astros in the 27th round.  The Astros like SB pitchers.  They drafted Nick Tropeano in 2011 and he is pitching well in AAA.

Our ball team  is well represented  in the  minors of MLB  and  guys are moving up as  time goes.  Credit our coaching  staff and the kids   they recruit  every year.  Watch  Cameron Stone make his move in two years and maybe   Casey  Baker.

The 2012 draft class is struggling, but Jankowski and Cantwell have reached AA.  Astonishingly, SB had the most players drafted of any high school or college in the country in 2012.

We can already say things to recruits like "did you see SB's Tom Koehler outpitching David Price a few nights ago?"

Congrats to Krause and McNitt! Krause may be a steal that late in the draft.

I'm hoping Zachary Sullivan, one of our 2014 signees, will sign with us. He was drafted in the 14th round by Miami. He's absolutely got the potential to be a tremendous college player, like 1st round talent in a couple of years. I hope we see him in Long Island!

Wasn't sure where to put this but looks like we will have another MLB player this September if not earlier!

That's   great news !  So  far if this holds up we have pitchers with the Marlins,  Tigers and  now the Astros . Now to get some of that Class of 2012  up there.
