Yup-they  split with Big 12 Kansas  and Big 10 Minnesota. Now if only  football or basketball could do the same thing.  They should destroy Iona Wednesday.

That's right. Beat the metro area teams. This is setting out to be another great year of Seawolves baseball. 12-6 is great, I think we should be dominant once again in the Conference season. Haven't been to a game yet, so I'm looking forward to the next home game!

Was at the game today for a few innings. By the time I left SB was beating up on Marist 11-3. We have a great team, once again!

Final 14-5 on 17 hits. Coach pretty much emptied the bench early on this one. 21-9 on the season and Albany this weekend.

Good win. The best of the season in fact. SB played East Carolina (Top 25 RPI) to three one-run loss games, but RPI doesn't consider close losses.

SBU Baseball ranked in the top 30 by NCBWA, the only Northeast school, ahead of Clemson, Auburn, Coastal Carolina...

http://www.sportswriters.net/ncbwa/poll/

how legit is this ranking? I don't know much about the NCBWA....

They're ranked #37 in the Coaches Poll, so that's some confirmation.

41-11 , 19-3 in AE and finishing an outstanding season again.  Lets get a sweep of Maine today and not , repeat not fall on our butts next week in the tournament. We have  a team of national caliber that should make a super regional.

The sweep of Maine is complete, and with it, the Seawolves now have the highest winning percentage in all of college baseball this season. Better than Florida, North Carolina, Virginia...you name it. Of course SB's schedule strength pales in comparison, but impressive nonetheless.

Stony Brook was 1 place outside the Midmajor Top 25, but still #1 ranked Northeastern team.

In coaches poll, #34 and #2 in the Northeast, just under #32 St. John's. It's likely we'll be in every single poll after this sweep. WHAT A GAME!!

Stony Brook is ranked above all CAA and AEC teams (including UNCW), and has 3 players (Tissenbaum, Carmona, Jankowski) with batting averages ABOVE .380!

Jankowski was recently featured as a borderline 1st round pick in the MLB draft.

Gotta think that this is the year SBU does some real damage in the tournament. Definitely in line for an at-large if they don't get the autobid, but if they do win the AEC - almost certain they end up a #2 or at worst a #3 seed.

I swear... we should be in a position to get an at-large. I know our RPI is lacking. But still. We have potential 1st round draft players. We had the MVP of the Cape Cod League. Everyone knows this team is legit even if they fail in next weekends tournament. I hope they win it this time around and get the safe bid into the NCAA. Go Seawolves

I truly hope  they win the tournament outright so there will no questions.  Coach Senk  has to be proud  with a record setting team.

The baseball team is really impressive. They are solid everywhere on the field.

Anyone know if Carmona or Tissenbaum are draft prospects?
