The regular season championship coming down to the last series of the season against Hartford. Both teams are pretty evenly matched.

How can you not root for Albany today..That was a real exciting game to watch....The Irish is a better teal all around and that's why they won today, but the Thomson family treo basically is Albanys team. ... Had Albany not lost something like 80% of the faceoff they would have  would have advanced..

not sure why Newsday is not doing a better job of covering our baseball team.  but I pulled this from the SBU website.  ovviously we have a good thing going with our baseball program and the coaching staff.  hopefully the new AD will reward these guys for a great job.

Stony Brook, N.Y. - Junior Kevin Krause (Staten Island, N.Y.) homered and then drove in what proved to be the winning run in the eighth inning to lead the Stony Brook baseball team to a 4-2 victory over Hartford Saturday at Joe Nathan Field. The victory gave the #Seawolves the America East regular season championship outright and the No. 1 seed in next week's America East Championship tournament.

This is the third regular season championship for Stony Brook, all coming in the last four years (2011 & 2012). The team has now won eight of its last 10 and 27 of its last 33 games to improve to 33-16 overall and 18-5 in America East, finishing two games better than Hartford, which closes the regular season at 30-21 overall and 16-7 in the conference.

We had zero coverage today in Newsday  about winning the  Regular Season  Title which surprised  me considering 2012 .   Baseball has had minimum coverage all season so maybe the  Athletic Department  has to amp it up a little.
